AfroLink is Canada's marketplace and community platform connecting black-inspired businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, creators, and consumers through shopping, services, recipes, events, and community engagement.
Is AfroLink available across Canada?
Yes. AfroLink is designed to serve communities across Canada. Some businesses and events may operate locally while others serve customers nationwide.
Why should I use AfroLink instead of other marketplaces?
AfroLink is built specifically to support black-inspired businesses and communities. It combines shopping, services, recipes, events, and community engagement in one trusted platform.
Is AfroLink free to use?
Yes. Browsing the platform is free. Some products, services, event tickets, or premium business features may have associated costs.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse most of AfroLink without an account. An account is required for purchases, vendor registration, community participation, favourites, and event registration.
How do I become a vendor?
Select 'Become a Vendor', complete the registration process, and submit the required business information. Once approved, you can begin listing your products and services.
Can businesses offer both products and services?
Yes. Eligible businesses can offer products, services, or both through a single business profile.
How do I place an order?
Browse the marketplace, add items to your cart, proceed to checkout, and complete your purchase using one of our secure payment methods.
How are payments processed?
Payments are processed securely through trusted third party payment providers. AfroLink does not store complete payment card information.
What happens if I have a problem with an order?
Contact the vendor first. If the issue cannot be resolved, AfroLink Support can help facilitate communication in accordance with our marketplace policies.
Can I return products?
Return eligibility depends on the vendor's return policy and the nature of the product. Please review the vendor's policy before purchasing.
Can I promote events?
Yes. Eligible organizers can create and promote cultural, business, educational, networking, and community events.
Can I share recipes?
Yes. Community members can share recipes that celebrate African and Caribbean cuisine, subject to our Community Guidelines.
How do I know if a vendor is trustworthy?
AfroLink promotes transparency through business profiles, customer reviews, ratings, and community feedback. We also review reports of inappropriate behaviour.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. AfroLink uses industry standard security practices and protects your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws.
Can I save favourite products and businesses?
Yes. Signed in users can save favourite products, businesses, recipes, and events for quick access later.
Can I follow businesses?
Yes. You can follow participating businesses and creators to receive updates about new products, services, recipes, and events.
How do I update or delete my account?
You can manage your account through Account Settings. You may also request account deletion, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Use the Report feature available throughout the platform or contact our support team through the Contact Us page.
Can community organizations join AfroLink?
Yes. Community organizations can promote programs, services, and events while engaging with communities across Canada.
